I could be wrong, but from what I know, the east coast company runs as USA or pacific USA, or somthing similar. We noticed we were getting two different shirts when ordering large numbers. The softer, better fitting tee shirts were coming from the west coast and had the skinny "Pacific Sports" tear away tags on them. Then we were getting tee shirts that were not as soft and did not fit the same, the tags were fat and read"PacificUSA". We called and they told us it was the differnece between the east and west coast compaines.
We have only used the slim-fit tee shirts and the v-necks (which are awesome!!). We have been very happy with their quality, price and service. There have been a few shipping mishaps here and there and the different product, but over all I would definitely recomend them. But I have never used their womens product.
Hope this helps some...

Thanks for the info! I am placing a large order today for men's shirts, and they said they will all have tear-away tags. I'll let you know if I have any issues. The women's shirts are okay, but they run smaller than article.1, for instance, so I think I'm sticking with article.1 for the women's for now. The sales rep at Pacific said that the better quality women's shirts will be available in the future with tear away tags, so that might be something to keep an eye out for.

I totally agree that no one wants their shirt made in a factory with working conditions that aren't good, but I wouldn't hold up AA as the be all and end all of ethics... even if their shirts are Made in the U.S.A., they have stirred up a bunch of moral/ethical controversy with their corporate attitude and some of the lawsuits (i.e. sexual harassment) that have been spinning around with their employees.

It would definitely be an industry improvement if more companies could give more information on their products from start to finish. As much as this might go against the laissez-faire attitude of industry regulation in the US, it would help prevent problems such as what we have recently seen with so many product recalls.

Anyway, I guess that is a bit off topic! I am getting my shipment of Pacific tees on Wednesday, and I'll try to remember to post and tell everyone what I think of them!

The problems don't end with Dov.

Indeed. I think this will be good news for everyone (unless they start compromising on ethical principles, but I'll give them the benefit of the doubt unless I have reason not to).

You may find reports posted in other threads. Sometimes people don't post back to the same thread: http://www.t-shirtforums.com/tags/pacific-sports/

I received my Pacific shipments... they look great. I haven't printed on my main ones yet, but I gave a few to a friend to use for a small run of team shirts for his flag football team, and he thought they were awesome.

You have to call about the women's seamed shirts 40/1. They are actually "juniors" and not women's, but I have some samples of those and like them a lot... the only issue was that they are available right now only in limited colors (I think the colors are shamrock green, lemon yellow, brown, black, and light blue). Or maybe not black. I have a feeling it was 4 colors only so far. These do have tear-out tags. They are more of a super-thin tissue jersey, which I personally really like, but they weren't exactly what we needed for our line because we wanted a thicker t-shirt.

If you want to know more, send me a PM.
