Is it me or do the wholesale prices for these items seem high. I can go to walmart and get a 5 pack of Gerber onesies for about 10 bucks. It actually comes out to $2.03 a piece. Anybody else using these. I've also been told of onesies for $1/pc at some of the dollar stores.
I agree. The few onsies I have done I've bought from Target or Walmart. By the time you pay the wholesale price + shipping it ends up being alot more expensive to get them from wholesalers.

Might want to try contacting about their case pricing for onsies. I haven't ordered yet but will soon....right after I use up my supply of Walmart onsies....LOL
I did receive a sample and it pressed fine. You get 144 onsies broken down by color (pale yellow, pale pink, pale blue, & white) and size (0-3, 3-6, 6-9, 9-12 month). Check out this link BULK ONESIE CASE PACK 144 PIECES for more information.
Up to 10 cases, you pay $1.59 per onsie...plus shipping. 10 cases or more and you pay $1.09 per onsie.
Maybe we can get her to do a special pricing for T-Shirt Forum members....
treadhead, do you know the piece price for ordering less than a case?
They are typical of other pricing for onsies....between $2.85 and $3.08 ea for 12 to 60 pcs. From 61 to 143 pcs...it is $2.63 to $2.77 depending on what color combinations you want.
I have a price sheet they sent me that I would be happy to e-mail you if you wish. It does not include their 006 & 007 packages that I mentioned before.
Perhaps we can get a few people together to buy a case and then split up the onsies? It would be around $250 including shipping ($1.74 ea). Not much cheaper than Walmart...but you get 3 colors plus white to work with.
When you are pricing baby onesies, it is important to compare apples with apples. The price you get, is a pretty good indication of the quality you are getting. Some words to know when you ask about the quality is the weight of the fabric 4.5 -5 oz is a nice medium wt, ask about stitches per inch (12 stitches makes a stronger garment), ask about it being ringspun cotton which makes a softer cotton, ask about the how the sleeves are edged off (binding or overlock stitch) and ask about the snaps (Stocko and Prym snaps are very reputable companies and they stand behind their products) a very important point when working with baby garment.

I found some on BlankShirts.com - Wholesale Name Brand T-Shirts and Apparel from Precious Cargo that I ordered. They were $2.00 each for 36 or more total / combined quantity. They come in light blue, light pink, and white. I ordered some and will post my impression.

I ordered toddler t-shirts from that same company through SanMar (no minimum order) and they were a little thin, but decent toddler tees.

I may be way off but I just don't think it's all that important wether the snaps are brand name or not. I mean if its a custom onesie for a baby chances are they will not be worn enough times for it to matter. That's just the way I see it. Babies just outgrow their clothes so fast. I can't see paying more for a blank onesie than a blank t-shirt.
Snaps can be very dangerous, and kids have a way of getting them into their mouths. It is a very real choking hazard that I would not like to get involved in.
Treadhead, what have you found out about the KidsBlanks and Precious Cargo onesies? I'm also looking to buy some onesies in bulk, but am disappointed in the wholesale pricing I've found. What's the quality of the ones you've tried?

Thanks for the reminder Rusty. Been so busy lately (not complaining!) that I forgot all about posting my impressions.
I waited a while to order from Zoe's Boutique and KidsBlanks Wholesale Baby Onesies due to being busy.. ...but when I finally tried to order about a week ago they were out of stock until the end of the month. So, I will have to reserve judgement on those. Again, these are the 006 package which you have to buy a minimum of 1 case (144 onsies) to get the $1.59 price (1-12 cases) or $1.09 for 12 or more cases.
The Precious Cargo were a lighter weight (not bad for this time of hear down here in the deep south)...similar to the Kidsblanks onsies...but ran much larger. The smallest size ranges from 0-6 months (much larger than my other 6 month onsies you find at say Walmart) which is a huge spread in my opinion at those ages. I really think they need to be 0-3 and 3-6 months.
Anyway, the heat transfers looked great on them (I'll get some pics posted here soon) and they seem to be pretty popular (the pinks more than the blues and whites for some reason...but a bit early to make any final conclusions). They only come in blue, pink, and white while the kidsblanks also come in a light yellow.
One final observation is that the kidsblanks onsies had two snaps which were plastic....so they need to hang out of the press when pressing. The Precious Cargo had three metal snaps. Oh..neither of these onsies were a ribbed design.
