Default Bare apparel issue

Bare Apparel quality is great, not arguable. But, at 2,000 units they charge [removed] per shirt. Is this reasonable for a start up t shirt business? I can get blank, quality, organic tees from other companies for 2$. Therefore I can buy 3 shirts for the price of one. This is going to be a huge weight in my decision. Please inform this forum if there are any alternatives to bare apparel as far as quality, distressed look, tears on the sleaves and neck, and fitted, and washed look?

Hey there...

That's a good question Pat. I'm not real sure about that. Hopefully, someone else will chime in soon. Good luck to you my friend!

The level of quality and custom treatments (washes, distressing, etc) in Bare Apparel's t-shirts are not inexpensive.

They are made for more higher end blank clothing lines that don't want to skimp on the quality. Usually the retail price for those finished t-shirts (once printed with your unique design) more than covers the cost of the blanks.

If you're just starting out, there are a lot of other great fashion blanks out there, but they won't have the same specialty washes, distressing, that Bare Apparel has. That may not be something you need just starting out.

American Apparel, Alternative Apparel, Royal Apparel, all have some nice fashion style blanks in a wide variety of styles.

Bare Apparel does a great job of producing high-quality, labor intensive, and unique t-shirts at a very fair price. There is so much involved with each process it would take a newbie many months (even years) to learn how/where to source, manage and sustain each part of the production process to deliver consistent quality and results.

We highly recommend new and emerging brands to work with a company like theirs.
