Default Printing clear vinyl window static?

For the longest time we've been looking around for some way to digitally print multicolor clear static window clings but we've always found that the print looks too transparent. We're looking for the ability to reproduce the type that are normally screen printed. We want a nice solid print. Is this possible to do digitally? Either with a dtg printer or wide format?

We have done a lot of them with the Roland Versacamm. There are the clear and white static cling materials.

We aren't really interested in the white vinyl just the clear static. Problem is we haven't been able to find a printer that can lay down a solid coat of ink like you see on the ones that are screen printed.

You need a printer that has a white ink option that can print a base coat if the decal is going on the outside or reverse print with an overcoat if you are putting the decal on the inside to veiw from the outside. We have had the same problem with our roland sc540 but we recently got a flatbed with white ink and they come out awesome. The white ink does get expensive so if you aren't doing a lot of them I would outsource it. EFI reccommends printing at least 4 square feet of white ink per week.

I just got 200 White window clings done from a friend of mine that has the verscamm
we tried the first 50 on Clear window cling , the colors did not show pure , so that is why we went with the white. If you want pure full color, go with the White, the clear will make it transparent.

Would you mind telling me what flatbed you ended up with?

If you use a verscam you have to make sure you use the correct profile for the material being used. Also there are options to overprint an extra number of times.
