I had a customer that needs a quote on 500 car window decals. Most likely a paw with a few words. They are requesting something like a vinyl, which I can do but would not look forward too. I have also thought I have see a way to print these on a large format printer (which I dont have).
Is this true and will it hold up on the ext. of the car?
You might be able to do a print-and-cut with a machine like the versacamm, but I'm not sure how durable the print would be. You could also outsource the regular decals and mark up the job if you don't have the time for it.

Thanks for the input...that is what I am thinking, because they need them within 2-3 weeks and I am not going to have time to get to them, but I wanted to know the details of the process before I quote them.
You should check with www.stouse.com , I think they are in your state.
I think their turn around time is 7 - 10 days so they may be able to do it for you.
I agree with MotoskinGraphix - your first priority is to find out if they want something print/cut or if a basic vinyl cut will do.
We did a convention two months ago where the client ordered up 150 decals (a modified gear design) in three different colors (450 total). We worked on-site (in a kitchen) and delivered in two days with plenty of time to spare.
If you need a straight run of (un-printed) vinyl shoot me an Email with the design and I'll quote you back directly. Depending on what you need I can have product in your hands in just a few days.
As for your other question, lacking a good local shop, Pizza Hut works well (stuffed crust with mushrooms and a double order of breadsticks). ;-)
