anyone doing wraps with a 30" versacamm or other 30" digital printer?
i'm trying to step up my game & get into wraps but not sure if it's worth it with my 30" versacamm. i know i'll have more seams but i just wanted to get some feedback before i drop $500 for a wrap class.
also, does anyone know of any good tutorial DVD's for wrapping? i found one on ebay for half the price of the coarse i'm looking at. i like the idea of the DVD because i can always go back & watch it, unlike the one time learning from the class.
Go to the class. I did and it answers a lot of questions....in fact I'm thinking of going to an advanced class to get a refresher and more tips on difficult apps.
As far as the 30" is concerned, I hate to say it but I think it would be a waste for wraps... great for stickers and some vehicle graphics maybe but for a wrap don't go with less than a 48" just my opinion.
thanks guys. i currently have a 30" so that's all i can do right now. maybe i'll just do partial wraps.
i also opted out the class & i'm going to try the DVD.
Wraping veicles seems to be a good margin job.
Personaly I think you can do a lot with a 30". You can carefully plan your job to do it in a 30" mashine and skip the 48" one, but of course your going to get more seems...
yeah, i've done a few partial wraps & vehicle "tattoos". i think i'm going to try & wrap my truck soon & see how it goes from there. i really want to untilize my versacamm to it's full abilities. right now i'm mostly doing decals, banners, signs & garments with it & i know there's a lot of $$$ doing wraps.
We did a ford econoline 350 van with the 30 incher. 9 panels plus per side. The job turned out great but what a nightmare getting everything lined up! I am very happy to have a 54 inch machine now :-)
