Need to Register?

Ok, so I just got a laserpoint and I want to get a small supply of different colors for my cutter. The sample packs at uscutter don't really have a good color selection. Probably looking for 5 to 8 yards at most for the roll. Just a small stock so I can get more colors.

I am completely new at this, but can I buy smaller rolls for the laser point or does it have to be a 24" roll?

I am mainly going to be doing motorcycle stickers. Just small ones, not whole wraps. I think I am going to stick with 651 cause I don't believe they will be on for years and years. Just 2 or 3 maybe.

I know we have a oracal distributor in town, so I may go check them out to see what kind of deal they can work with me.

Also, any good tutorials for learning to setup the machine. I am going to be making small stickers, so this is what I am looking for help in.

Use the 751 (cast) or better grade for vehicles. 651 is short term (calendared) vinyl.

To answer your question.. I get all my vinyl from Sign Making, Sign Supplies, Vinyl Cutters, Sign Cutters, Vinyl Banners, Wide Format Color Printers, Laser Engravers

Can you use the smaller rolls on the laserpoint or do you have to get the 24" rolls?

They make 651 in 8inch, 12inch, 15inch, 24inch, and 30inch.

You don't HAVE to use a giant roll.. I use mostly 15 inch rolls.

Most places I've seen sell a minimum of 10 yards.

thanks gp, ordered me a few rolls of 15" x 10. And a roll of application tape. Now need to start figuring out how to set up the laserpoint.

I too have primarily been ordering my 651 from SignWarehouse. I once ordered from Ordway but SignWarehouse prices are cheaper for me.

Not sure if you know this, but if you go to the Oracal website, you can request free samples of their vinyl, as well as a free color chart/booklet of all of their colors. If you like using Oracal vinyl definitely request the free color chart - booklet.
