Question 20" x 80" rectangle decal

I have a city skyline silhouette wall decal for a customer that I cut in two 20"H x 80"W pieces.

The first part is the bottom and is a solid rectangle. The second part is the top and has the outlines of the buildings.

I don't like the idea of taping that big ol' rectangle. It should be just as easy to apply without application tape, correct? Or am I not thinking clearly?

I already have the top piece taped and ready to go.

What do you guys/gals think?
