| How tight to roll vinyl decal when shipping? So you have a nice rear-window sized decal and you're going to slap on some application tape and ship it. What is the tightest you roll it (diameter), without messing up the vinyl/app-tape job? | |

| Re: How tight to roll vinyl decal when shipping? So what would the concern be if you rolled it tighter than 6"? I'm one of those people who has to be told the ill effects of a bad habit before stopping it. | |

| Re: How tight to roll vinyl decal when shipping? I think what David is trying to explain is the 6 inches might be the optimum size for posting package. | |

| Re: How tight to roll vinyl decal when shipping? I ship most of my decals in 2" shipping tubes with no problems.
The application tape that I use helps, as it rolls tight without bending/curling/etc.
This is the app tape that I use, Sign Supplies and Equipment: 24 inch by 100 yds. - R-Tape Clear Conform Premask - Low Price Guarantee
I roll out the app tape with the sticky side up, cut to the length that I need, & apply the decal to the tape. This app tape lays nice and flat.
I like doing it this way much more than applying the app tape from the top. | |
