I have a potential customer that wants 200 double sided coroplast 12 x 18 inch signs done up. He wants the signs to be blue with white lettering and a simple yellow lock on it (security company). I will be using Oracal 651 vinyl in white for the letters and yellow for the lock.
That is not a vinyl job, it is a screenprinting job. That wold take you forever. Go on ebay and pay the guy to print the signs then mark it up.
Trust me, been there done that, you don't want to do that.
I know it'd be easier to screen them, but the guy wants vinyl and knows it isn't going to be dirt cheap. I just wanted a ball park as to what the going rate for 200 would be. I know it's different in each demographic area.
The guy probably has no clue what the difference is.....screen them & save yourself a lot of work/frustration.
Actully the guy knows exactly what the difference is. His office is in a screen printing/embroidery building and he uses them all the time for his business t-shirts.
I'm not going to have something screened when he asked for vinyl.
i think it will be hard to quote that because nobody in there right mind would want to do it knowing they can get them screened and still make plenty of money.
