Talking Remove Sim Stich Letters

Okay, I am applying some of Stahls Sim Stich letters to a shirt. Usually no problems. However, with this job I have to apply some letters and numbers to a sleeve. This is a black Jerzees unisex shirt size large 100% cotton.

Now, although I have never made a mistake using the Sim Stictch (feverishly knocking on wood), IF I did, is there anyway they could be removed and re-applied? If not, then removed without damaging the garment? I figured I would come to this great forum with its huge knowledge base who may have an answer should this "accident" (again feverishly knocking on wood) happen.
