Default Very new to vinyl what am I doing wrong

hey guys so.... I have been ale to cut some pretty cool stuff but, my problem is that when i take a illustrater file(saved as Eps) into flexisign
I cant get it to show up unless i rasterize it then do the auto trace. The only problem with that is that when i go to cut it all the lines are not smooth so it takes so long to cut a sticker and fine details do not work. Im sure im doing thing wrong. any help would be very apreciated.
thanks

try exporting the file as a earlier file such as illustrator 8...Also if you have font in there make sure you select font and creat outline...I am going by illustrator CS and using it on the roland cut software.

I have to export it as an earlier file......maybe that will work with you to.

Good luck

I agree, you shouldn't have to export as an eps, Flexi should be able to read the Illustrator file, but like it was mentioned already, you might need to save it as an earlier version.

So saving it as an older illustrator file worked but it still making the lines jagged. When i zoom way in while in adobe it looks fine but when i get it in flexi the lines are not smooth. Is it something flexi is doing or is it my image? Is there a way to smooth out the lines?
Thanks for the help

Also sorry but i cannot upload the image they are a clients new designs and they would kill me if i put them on the internet so hopefully i can still figure this out

Are there additional nodes or is it appearance only? If there aren't additional nodes, try ungrouping everything to see if it goes away. Sometimes it's just a visual thing. If you want to zip the file and post it here, I'll download and take a look at it. Save it in the newer and older illustrator files.

What version of flexi because it is something that has always bugged me about the app. I think the new version cleaned up the visual problems.

can you save an image as print screen so we can see what you are talking about???

Here is an example.
This graphic cuts fine...Oringinal artwork is vector and is very smooth. In the cut software straight lines are smooth and curves look jigged.
You can see all the points....

Perhaps if you do something like this we can see what your talking about.

I've had problems with.eps files imported into flexi, but it seemed that what started as shapes and paths would end up as filled bitmaps. I got around this by exporting as .ai or as .wms. can't hurt to try.

Pretty much all of the files that I work with are already in vector format. If working with text I make sure to convert the text into outlines.

I use the SignBlazer cutting software and the images look fuzzy when imported, but everything cuts just fine. All of the files have to be saved as Illustrator 8 before they will import.
