This is probably why you shouldn't buy your equipment on eBay . I was in the middle of getting ready to do a cut, when my program suddenly quit and stated that the dongle key was not inserted, so for protection purposes it was going to close.

Here's my info: My cutter is a Master brand (Tiger series), purchased about 2 years ago on eBay from Desay also know as: masterwarehouse.com

Software is SignGo lite, requires the dongle key to be plugged in. I've tried everything I can think of, restarting the computer, trying all the USB ports, "My Computer" asks for the drive to be inserted, nothing works. Plus the light on my dongle drive is now continuously flashing which it didn't do before.

I've emailed the company and I plan to call on Monday when the reopen (closed on weekends). Fortunately a replacement (again from eBay!) is not too too expensive, but hoping the company can give me a better deal or news.

Has anyone else run into Dongle Key issues? Thanks!

Do you actually have the dongle key? Either the one for the USB or the one for the printer?

Yes, I have the dongle key. But I'm not sure what the "one for the printer" is? - I would say no. The key I have gets plugged into my computer's processor, SignGo lite is already installed on my computer, and then I guess the program detects security or registration info from the dongle key which allows for full access.

Guess that's what it's for?! But the program is currently not detecting the USB style dongle key.

Hopefully I can download the free 30 day trial until I can resolve this.

Its just an alternative to having the USB key.

Is there a little red light on the USB key? If there is, it should be lit up.

Yes there is a light. Normally it stays on - solid. But now it continuously blinks - and is somewhat dim, its not as bright as it was before this happened.

I have Windows XP, the "safely unplug hardware" option detects that there's something plugged in. "My Computer" also detects that something is plugged into the drive, but when I try to open it from My Computer is asks for the drive to be inserted.

When this first happened, I was currently running SignGo Lite without any issues upon start up, was even able to import an image. Then is just stopped and notified me that the key was not detected.

The only thing i can think of is to uninstall and re-install and try starting from scratch or you can try updating your drivers through "device manager". Try those and see if it works

Hi, in case anyone is following this thread. I contacted Masterwarehouse.com , and they determined that my key was no longer good. They offered to sell me another at a discounted price, however Master Warehouse had the exact same thing listed on eBay, with a "Best Offer" option, so I was able to get it for a lot less. Well it still upset me that I had to pay anything, since it shouldn't have happened in the first place. But I was happy to have gotten it for about 60% less than what I almost had to pay.
