We have been doing cad cut names and numbers and logos on team uniforms for years. We also do car window decals. I am satisfied with our pricing for these vinyl uses but was wondering about pricing for interior and wall logos and shop window decals. I think this could be a lucrative area to pursue. How many of you install and what do you charge. I would probably want to steer clear of this service. Let me know if I am wrong. Should we price our vinyl the same way we price for shirt logos (by sqaure inch with a 40% margin) or should we use a higher margin for walls and windows (non-installed) because it is a "specialty" item. We double the cost for two color if it is layered. Any response would be greatly appreciated.

I charge 8-12 bucks per sq ft depending on the size of the project....up to 4sq ft(24"x24") is 12....and anything above that is 8....I use Oracal 651 for everything....I dont skimp and after one or 2 summers my work beats the "cheaper" guys into the ground.....I'll also work with companies if they have re-peat potential...or when they come in to buy shirts I'll tell them add a dozen shirts and I'll make you a small sign free or something to that effect....makes em feel warm and fuzzy...just make it appear your going above and beyond what el cheapo is going to do for them...if installing on a business window...go ahead and clean the whole window...makes them feel good and your product shine....good luck
