Matte finish vinyl
Hello everyone-
I'm new to the screen printing business and have a question. Along with screen printing, I purchased a vinyl cutter to offset some slow days. I am currently looking for a matte finish vinyl, to be applied to walls (indoor walls). If you know of a company, please respond .Thanks

Re: Matte finish vinyl Haven't used it, but heard about it: Oracal 631 is matte and primarily used for wall applications. I think Avery also has a matte vinyl as well. 3M sponsored a wall wrap contest with their printable vinyl, however I believe that material was glossy, but they should have something in the market as well.
3M is generally top quality, however Oracal makes a great product at one of the better prices.

Re: Matte finish vinyl You want to get Oracal 631 it's the best I have used for wall applications. Also when you take it off the wall there's no glue left on the wall, which is a plus.

Re: Matte finish vinyl Here are four wall quotes that I did this past weekend. I used oracal 631 and had a rough time getting the fancy script to stick on the tan wall. There was not enough area to the quote for it to have a good bond with the wall. The masking kept pulling the quote so I finally cut the masking down the middle and worked one line at a time. I used my squeege to press down on the letters while removing the masking. The Disney font went in a playroom and the Rubber Ducky went in the bathroom.
I get my 631 from signwarehouse.com.

Re: Matte finish vinyl I was told today that US Cutter has a new less tacky application tape to be used with the Oracal 631. It's supposed to help greatly, comapred to the stickier tape.Sandy

Re: Matte finish vinyl I have read that Oracal has a tape made for the 631. I went to their site and requested a sample roll of it. They ship 6"x10' sample rolls.
