Default Software?

I just received from Roland GX-24 and have installed Cut Studio. Do I need to have Adobe Illustrator or Corel to do Letterings, such as qoutes for home decor?

I'd say go to www.freeserifsoftware.com and download the commercial version (about $10). There programs are very similar to Adobe, but are the best bang for your buck.

So, I need to have an additional program like the one you mentioned to do qoutes in Cut Studio?

the cut studio will recognize any font you have installed on your computer, i only use cut studio as i do not own either of the other programs. to do fonts and vector art you do not need either of the other programs. I plan on getting them in the future just dont have the funds for it right now.

I have used it and it is a good entry program for vinyl cutting....it will do most of what you want. I sold my GX24 and purchased a GCC Puma III and now I use Digital Art Solutions CoCutPro2...but that program is pretty pricey.

Try Inkscape - open source version of Illustrator.
