I have to apply frost looking vinyl on the windows of a store.
In fact, on the windows of one shop that is located inside a mall (so, indoor conditions).
The windows are very big, 3 by 4 meters (that is almost 10 by 13 feet), and must be entirely covered.
I will have my fiance, my father, a ladder and hopefully my sense of equilibrium help me, and i will be applying wet, BUT - should i put the edge of the vinyl side by side, or should i slightly overlap them?
ive been in the vinyl biz on and off for a while. if this was my project, i would think about this option:
overlap a little bit (like .25") and then use your exacto to cut the line that overlaps. then remove the overlap. even if your a little bit off, by cutting, it will have a perfect butt edge. hope it helps & good luck.

That is what I would do. As the vinyl shrinks you may see the gap, but it should take a while. I would practice with old vinyl before using this method if you have never done this before.

well, we did it and it came out nice.
i overlaped the edges, 0.5 centimeters or so, and left it like that, without cutting the overlap.
the client was pleased.
the ladder was ok for this, but i guess i was lucky, too
