Default Help please....gonna try a window!

Hey all! First let me say how wonderful this forum is - I have learned so much from you guys already!!!

We are opening a shop (we do primarily plastisol transfers, and heat applied vinyl, as well as airbrush). Obviously, since we do heat applied vinyl - we have a cutter - 24".....

I'm a cheapo and don't want to pay someone else to come do vinyl lettering for our windows!!! Going to try to do this ourselves.....We have done one banner with Oracal 651 - it was an experience....

So - I just want to make sure that I have all my ducks in a row.....

Cut/weed design
Apply application tape
thoroughly clean window
remove oracal label backing off cut/weeded vinyl
spray with clear water the back of the vinyl/application tape
position on the window
squeegee with lots of pressure
let dry
remove tape

what have I missed????

Thanks for your help!
Melanie

If you have ever had your windows cleaned be sure and test a small piece of vinyl first.Some window cleaners use silicone in their cleaning formula and vinyl will not stick just like over rainx.If it doesn't stick try some Bon-Ami and then denatured alcohol.

Just to update: Got the window done. We did it dry. We just felt more comfortable with that as that is how we do banners and coroplast....Anyway - it went up in just a few minutes glad that both of us were there though I could have done it alone it just would have been a bit harder....
