Please do be careful if buying off ebay! Especially with an item of this kind! Request their phone number - call them and ask lots of questions - where'd they buy it, when, what's the serial #, do they have the original box, software, any repair/maintenance receipts, etc.
A real seller will be happy to supply you with any info you request! A scammer will not - and probably won't be as knowledgeable about the product either.
When we were searching for our printer, there were a couple listed that would end early and reappear with different pricing - or the same seller and different info and pictures, etc. Since there weren't that many listings for the Roland 600, I kept all of them in my watch - even after they ended, so it was easy to spot one that ended and reappeared several times. I noticed this with the Gerbers I watched also.
It's a shame there are so many crooked people out there - the best way to defend yourself is to be really cautious about who you deal with! JMO

I have used my PC-60 with XP for 5+ years with no problems. I have purchased my ZeroNine ribbons from Beacon Graphics and they work great. My PC-60 has also been a great investment.
If you clean the head and take care of the machine it works well.

Depending on what you want to print? You may want to look into an Epson, or HP, aqueous printer, that uses dye, or pigment inks, instead of solvent. Do you have facilities for running a solvent printer, namely ventilation, even a "Eco-Solvent" printer, still needs venting. The two I mentioned above can be purchased pretty cheap used, and affordable brand new, I do t-shirt transfers, vinyl signs, wall graphics etc. with my Epson, you just have to use appropriate media, and laminate where required. I only gave $200 bucks for my 24 inch Epson, there's deals out there, cause a lot of epsons, and HP's got shoved over in the corner, when the new VersaCamm came in. Just like I'll do one day!
