I'm starting to get into interior wall vinyl. I'll be shipping the vinyl rolled up in mailing tubes.
I used AT-60 Clear Choice transfer tape on a sample, rolled it up, and left it in my car for a day to simulate what would happen during shipping. Air bubbles is what happened, and all over. I'm not a big fan of AT-60. Maybe the R-Tape Clear Conform tape works better.
I've been happy with R-Tape Aplitape for my regular vehicle vinyl. I'll probably end up using that for the wall vinyl too.
For future reference what is a good clear application tape that doesn't bubble like the AT-60?
None that I have ever seen. That's one of many reasons I don't like clear tape. I would suggest using paper tape, I use perfectear myself, I like it better then r-tape.
Can I ask you which way you rolled the vinyl with the tape on it.. I know it sounds like a silly question.. but there is a reason..
You always roll it with the graphics to the outside.. (i know that sounds backwards but believe me).. If you roll it with the graphic towards the middle it will bubble no matter what tape you use..
we have mail vinyl with both the mask type tape and the clear stuff with no problems rolling i the right way..
