thank you thank you..
lol Chris.. tell ya what.. you come and help me..ill throw the training in for free..lol
but i warn ya .. You will get real tired of weeding fast..lol
lol.. I remember the very first van i did.. .. and It did end up crooked.. Its takes alot of measuring and marking.. usually takes me longer to lay out where im gonna put the graphics than any other part of it..
This one was a bear because of having to put it over the gas door.. and making sure it was readable.. so you have to be careful what letter you put where..
we did that side first then the other side.. to make it where both sides were uniform..
I can do a van like this in about 90 mins or so now.. but like i said.. ive done a ton of them..
Really nice job. As a newb, It's so cool to be able to see what avenues I can extend my business out to once I purchase my cutter. Congrats on the big One-0-0-0!
Thank you for sharing Susan, this kind of posts encourage me even more to use my Roland GX-24.
I just did a sign for a Domino's Pizza, just a menu,
(2) 24"x30", they came out nice. I just cut the vinyl, the owner would applied to the substrate.
Thank you for your post. BTW I charged 20 for each vinyl weeded.
I would have been a bit higher on the cut and weeded vinyl for that size.. but it takes a while when your starting to figure out the prices you can get.. .. a good help for those trying to figure out vinyl prices is at www.thesignexpert.com they have a pricer thing for all types of vinyl applied and ready to apply.
These vans we do for this company we charge less than we do for some other customers as we do so much for them.. all their vans, banners, and signs..
we charged 150 for the vinyl and 170 for the install..
You are right about pricing that has been the hardest part about vinyl work for me too.I have used the calculator at that link and it seems to be pretty close,so that has helped a lot. Measue twice cut once works for vinyl layouts just like woodworking and embroidery. Great job on the van.
ty ty.. I love those two colors together.. .. the lime green is one of my favorites it really stands out on a white vehicle.
Yups i have another one just like it to do tommorow am lol..
Its amazing how the hot you can get with the sun radiating off a white vehicle..
