I recently ordered from Ordway Sign Supply (signsupply.com), and things seemed okay - shipping took a little long considering we're in the same state, but other than that.....
Would like to order more colors, and now I'm considering Signwarehouse.com. Their prices are a little lower, plus I would save on taxes since I'm in a different state. I did a little research here, and most had good things to say about Ordway. But there were a few not-so-great comments about Signwarehouse.com. Still trying to decide if I should give them a try, guess I'm asking for horror stories or reasons not to order from Signwarehouse .
I'm interested in Oracal 651, 15 in. X 10yds. I have a Feller's center near my area, about 40 minutes away, but with gas prices I might as well pay to have it delivered. Oh yeah, for what I'm interested in Feller's prices are a bit more expensive. Thanks for any info.

I will tell you,I have dealt with signwarehouse and their customer service is terrible. i was lied to and manipulated. I suggest you check out Fellers. I have heard great things about the Fellers group. ....... JB

I have delt with Ordway for over 2 years now.. and never had bad service or help.. they are great to me..
like i said.. call them tell the the other price.. they will match it.. ..
Pss Ive heard nutting but bad about signwarehouse.. g..
Also ive heard good things about fellers.. find out from both feller and ordway what the min is to get free delievery..
If fellers is only 40 min away. .they may have a delievery truck tha comes to your area..
Im in so calif.. and Both Ordway and Sign-mart Hand deliever my stuff for free..
I use Signwarehouse.com and have never had a problem! I have never had to pay shipping (except on items excluded from free shipping) and get my stuff in 1 day from them. (I am in Texas) My current rep is Kendra... If you want, I can give you her info. She is a really sweet lady and very easy to work with. She calls me with specials on items that I order and emails me, too.
I work with signwarehouse and have never been disappointed. No horror stories and they are always polite and helpful when I have to call them on the phone. My thumbs up, however, I've never worked with ordway - so can' tcompare
I just go with the people who give me the best price to begin with! Why should I have to beg for a better price? And, why should I trust them if they are trying to rip me off to begin with?
Get yourself a tax id# its simple to get, Fellers is in San Jose I think, I used to order from Ordways and the are great people but Fellers is close to me also. Either way they are both great.

rof.. Ok.. simply because some one is a couple dollars more on an item does not mean they are trying to rip you off..
Prices change all the time.. with differant companies...
I prefer to go with good service.. If you delope a good relationship with your supplier they will match prices all the time.

Tax ID#, do you know if this would be the same as applying for a 'seller's permit'? Or is this completely different? I'm pretty small time, I occasionally sell on eBay and now that I have a machine I would like to produce a lot more, and maybe even sell at my local fleamarket. So a permit may be a good thing to look into.

Thanks for the replies so far everyone .
Good question...Is it a Federal or State Tax ID being suggested here?
Ordway is normally good, although I've had some issues with them lately not having a sales rep call back so I miss delivery cut-offs. Never ordered from Signwarehouse, so I couldn't give you any info on them.
You can apply for a permit for free. Here's a tip, don't walk in estimating that you are going to make a bundle, it will save you having to pay a deposit towards your future taxes.
JPD..
We basically only deal with Joe at Ordway.. well Him and the delievery driver.
But we are the same way with Sign-mart too.. We pick one person that has doen us right and stay with them.. that way they tend to know what we normally buy..
