The test cut is perfect. So when you create text it doesnt cut the entire corner out or the paths dont join up? This happens no mater what sise text? Can you create a shape or a piece of clip art and does it cut that correctly? What design software are you using?
I'm using Corel and the design is clean. I used the cut studio plug in button on corel. And when I zoom in, in cut studio, all the lines look clean and perfect.
Go look at the art in wireframe. Try cutting a shape. Create text and save it as outlines or paths and try the cut.
I'm on the road today. I will work on it when I get back into town.
Thank you so much for all the help!
Oh, I meant to ask, If I start playing with the offset, what exactly am I changing in the cut? or what should I notice in the cut? How will I know if I'm adjusting it the right way or the wrong way? lol, are you going to say that I'm making it more or less offset? What does that mean? : )
Ok, I've been looking into what Offset is and I found this in another thread from UScutters:
The blade offset accounts for the fact that the tip of the knife is not centered in the blade holder. Instead, it is offset in order to allow the blade to swivel and maintain a cutting edge. The software adjusts for this (simplified explanation) by extending the cut past the final point by the blade offset amount.
You can tell that your blade offset setting is too small if your cuts don't meet each other or if you have rounded corners where they should be pointed. On the other hand, you can tell if your blade offset adjustment is too large if corners seem to be extended from where they should be. Blade offset is typically adjusted by a fraction of a mm or an inch and is usually determined by a label on the box that your blades came in.
