Default Pricing Help

I guess I was sleeping in math class during formulas.

But how do you figure out a price converting square inches into square feet.

For example, if a design was 9 inches by 30 inches (270 sq inches) and the price was $7.00 a square foot, how do you go about doing the converstion and coming up with a total cost.

If someone could help me that would be great, I'm racking my head on this simple problem.

Thanks
Brian

If it is 9 x30 (270) square inches then you divide 270 by 12. There are 12 inches in a foot and you multiply the number you get by the price. 270/12=22.50, then22.50x$7.00 =$157.50

1 sq ft = 1ft x 1ft = 12in x 12in = 144sq in

apparently you weren't the only one sleeping in class. Sonambulo is correct, you would divide by 144.

270 square inches is only 1.875 square feet. So your total cost is $13.13

Lol!! I thought $157 was kinda high for a 9x30 decal!

That makes a big difference. Thanks for the math answer. When I have a spelling question I now know who to ask.

When calculating price for sticker you are better off figuring Linear feet! Once the vinyl comes off the roll you are now wasting your time looking for the correct size and color.
