I have a Craft Robo cutter plotter, i want to make some decals with 2 colors One color is for the graphic and the other color is for the stroke, does anyone knows how to do them? Should i have to paste the graphic color on top of the stroke?
I'm using Oracal Vinyl
My question is this, how much would you charge for each sticker?
that vid was around 3 mins. He put 3 stickers together.
Thats a minute per sticker, not Bad. PLUS the time to weed them.
I am wondering what say 250 of those would be? Is it possible to make money doing decals?

Just wondering.
Cheers!
Honestly it its hard to try and make any substantial money with decals with just trying to cut them. I usually talk the customer into a single color less weeding to make it cheaper or the other thing I do is try and sell them different color decals and use my scraps.
Can you tell me how to do it with tshirt vinyl? and why you can't?
thanks.
You can do layers of tshirt vinyl... Just press on the layers directly to the shirts, below is a black cut background (all solid) with a white cut layer on top. Press the black down first, peel the carrier, press the white on top, peel the carrier. I eye balled the alignment, didn't use registration marks.
The shirt has been worn by my wife at least once a week and washed at least once a week for almost 2 months, no peeling, fading, nothing ... perfect!
we have sold stickers with 2 and three colors and they are a pain to do.. with sign vinyl.. one of the problems with selling ready to apply stickers that are that way.. is that it is really had to get the product for the customer without any bubbles.. as when you layer sign vinyl the vinyl will stick to each other as soon as it touches and any bubbles are there for life.. lol..
when doing multi colored signs we lay each color on the substrate seperately and do not layer them before we apply them.
You can do multi color decals in just a minute os so per after the cut is finished. The trick is to have clear transfer tape and a light box (can be built from parts at a Hardware store for under $25) I tend to use the same piece of transfer tape for all the layering until im done. This lessens the grip of the adhesive making the job a little easier.
I cant remember who here posted their pricing for stickers but it went like this .10 per square inch and then I add from $1.50 for simple designs to $5.00 per for the really pain in the rear ones. Youre not just charging for the material but you weed and layering time. as well.

SICK:
Do you mind giving a bit more breakdown of how to achieve such a design?
I assume the two colors were two layers in your design app, printed separately on black and white vinyl (respectively) then applied separately onto the tee?

Doing 250, it's probably better to outsource them to somebody that can print and cut them, like with a VersaCam. It would be cheaper than doing all the labor yourself.
But if it's smaller runs, then yes, you can make money doing decals, because you can charge more for smaller runs.
