Any chance you could print these on say clear vinyl and save yourself hours of weeding? Weeding 2040 decals is going to be very time consuming and so will applying the transfer tape. If I was going to do it I would try to talk then into a printed decal.
Good luck!
sorry that i dont have the answer to your question but i have a question regarding the last 2 posts.
What do you mean when you say that you'd try to get it in a printed decal?? What is the difference?? I am new to this and interested in doing decals and stuff like that, so any answers are greatly appreciated.

It means that you have a crazy amount of weeding to do. So much so that it's giving people the shivers. You could try and have the designs printed on clear vinyl and die cut (or something along those lines) to save yourself all that labor.
They have provided vector artwork that will be fairly easy to weed.
Help... what would you charge?
Thanks!
You might also want to ask this question on some of the sign forums such as signs101.com etc. There are lots of folks on those sites that do lots of window decals and such.
Just a thought.....

Here's a quick example of why printed decals, in this case, would make more sense.
If I were doing 1500 4"x4" decals I would charge about $.51 each for cut vinyl for a total of $765. If I printed them on clear vinyl I would charge about $.23 each or $345.
The price difference is labor. Hope this helps!
Actually its a wonderful order and a potential windfall of profit. If what you do is vinyl graphics you have just made your month. Please dont run away because its weeding work and clear vinyl has nothing to do with it. Print and cut is just that...no need for clear vinyl at all. Certainly easier to have them printed and cut but is that what the customer wants? Sounds like they want quality vinyl graphics in quantity and thats a winner. Do not under price the order as labor is the real cost and potential profit. Go for it!!!!!
What the customer wants is always important. But educating them to alternatives, sometimes less expensive ones, is important too. Customers don't always know what is available to them till we tell them.
If you've got the time to do all that weeding then it is a nice profit for sure. Me, I hate to weed but we have the ability to print and cut so I would push them in that direction. But if they want cut vinyl then give me a deposit and I'll get busy.
yea dont be scared of it, especially if you dont have the means to do a clear printed decal. And i wouldnt go to signs101 with a question like this, they are definitely not as friendly as they are here.
