Hi all,

I was wondering if anyone could help me out with this.. I am transferring images using the heat transfer method and ironall dark paper. Currently I am creating a box around the image so that I am able to cut around the image neatly. I realize that in order to be able to cut around the actual image, I need something more precise than a pair of scissors so I am wondering what I need. I see that alot of people use a plotter/cutter but they also talk about using vinyl. Does this mean I cannot use the ironall paper for this method? Or do I need to use some other method to cut around my images? I am a little confused right now so any suggestions would be appreciated. Also, if the cutter/plotter is the way to go, does anyone have a recommendation (that isn't too expensive) Many thanks in advance!!

while i have not use my cutter for this purpose but you should be able to do that, just have to print the registration marks on the paper. and you might want to spend the extra money for a cutter with optical recoginiton vs laser.

Julie, I use a Craftrobo cc330L for just this purpose. I contour cut the image, then transfer with Magic Mask or another brand. Using a squeegee to apply the clear mask.Then I press. Mike
