I think you posted a similar question in another thread. I was trying to get additional info to try and help you.
Are your sure it's le vxi apprentice or is it LXI apprentice.
I looked at signwarehouse.com and found LXI Apprentice software.
It appears to be from the makers of FlexiSIGN, which is a well respected software company.
Signwarehouse has a great tutorial section with an interactive software simulator program.
It appears there is a bitmap editor for grayscale or black and white only, built into the program.
LXI apprentice appears to be mainly for cutting vinyl. According to what I read it does not support contour cutting.

Are you sure you have a cutter printer?
Or is it a vinyl cutter.
What exactly are you trying to do?
