Re: Is this the way you price vinyl...??have example..please help..
Thats how i would work it out but i would take into account weeding time, how long i spent on pc etc, eg i normally ask them what they want i have an idea on how long / complicated the design is and give them a price that reflects whats its worth to me, today i did a 200mm circular design with 2 lines of text and charged the approx $15 i then had a customer who wanted 2 lines of small text 100mm x 50mm for that i charged them $5 for each set. i know a polo shirt and vinyl brest logo cost me say $2.50 so i x that by 3.5 minimum not had a refusal yet. Im in the UK so it might be different for you oer the pond. hope this helps

okay so i heard u say your in uk... so since my 12x12inch design only cost $1.20 how much should i charge them for that... to make money...and to be worth my time.. even 5 dollars seems cheap..12x12 isnt super big but its a nice lil decal for that car..would 7.00 dollars be 2 much mark up...

For something like that i would charge $9 bucks. $7 sounds fair though. The way i do it is i stick to my hourly rate, if it takes me 15 minutes to cut and weed then it'll be a quarter of my hourly rate. then i would just add my material cost, like you did.
