Default Elasticut

I have to decorate some dance leotards and want to use Elasticut, but don't know how to use it...
Anyone out there that can help???
I tried it on a sample and there was a transparent material left on the carrier like a ghost image of the graphic. Is that supposed to happen?

Hello, I 've seen nobody answered you.
So I share my two cents.

I got a sample of the same material from my supplier. He told me that it should work in that way. Basically you got a double layer over the liner and cut both before weeding. After that you should transfer at the correct temperature and remove the liner while hot, leaving only the coloured layer onto the textile.

Hope this help.

Giovanni

yeah i have a sample too that i've yet to use. It came with instructions though and I think it said it can be hot or cold peeled and if hot peeled you have to remove the support layer, if cold peeled treat like a normal two layer flex.

I'll have a look when i get in and post up the full instructions for you

With Elasticut you have 3 layers - film, support layer and plastic like mylar. When cutting program the blade to sut through the film and support layer. Weed away the film and support layer from the mylar backing. Heat press down to your fabric. The only thing that will stick is the film. You may have some of the support layer transfer over, this should be peeled away from lettering or your design as it is not intended to stick to the finished graphic.

For reference, the support layer is there simply to hold the film to the mylar after cut, if it wasn't there then the film would curl away for the mylar when cut or not cut as accurately.
