Exclamation help with copam and Vector Cut

I am hoping someone can help.
I am cutting with a copam2500 and cutting with Vector Cut. Problem is I can cut a single clipart design sillohette without any problems BUT any time I try to cut text or a clip with text or a clip with cutouts or anything other than a single item,
My cutter puts diagional lines right through the design like it is trying to line things up THEN it does another cut, starting a little ways into the design straight across the whole sheet of vinyl. Even if I have listed the vinyl as a smaller sheet it still goes up and across diagionally the length and width of the whole sheet of vinyl!
AGGGHH
I have sign blazer and that works fine but i cannot design in Cadworx and send to my other cut program Can anyone help???
PLEASE

Vector cut and the Cadworx software from Stahls, supports cutters that have been sold by, or are still being supported by Stahls', i.e Ioline 100, Ioline 300, Roland GX-24 Mimaki Cg-60. The copam2500 isn't supported, and won't run directly through vector cut. If you want to design in cadworx that's cool. You just need to save the graphic as a generic .plt file. This can be done from the Vector Cut screen. Try making a design online, send it to vector cut, but instead of cutting it, just save it.......Then you can open it with your other program and cut away.
I hope this is helpful

Hi,
I CAN cut through vector cut. I can cut thesingle clip art just fine. just not the text items. I have been cutting regular sillohette (sp) type clipart through it for 6 months now. Just cant figgure out how to get other things.
I have designed a few things through it and saved the art as a tiff file and opened and re-vectorized through SignBlazer but signblazer will not open a .plt file only a .SBD
Just thought it would be easier to do it all in one.

If you select a template for cadworx, say a football name and number combo, and make NO changes, to the template are you able to cut it? ... the entire template, including the text? or are you having trouble with importing your own text/font ect....?

wow, not sure....

You can submit the issue, through the "help desk request" on the Cadworx page. They should be much more help than me.

When you resolve the issue, please post your findings.

Best of luck!

Patrick is correct; Vector Cut is only intended for the use of select Stahls' cutters (Roland GX-24, Ioline 100/300, Mimaki CG-60, Silver Lion SAH-5000). However, the Generic HPGL Driver inside Vector Cut allows for some non-supported cutters to be used.

Presumably you are using the Generic driver with your copam2500, and if you are using the Serial Port inside Properties in Vector Cut, you may want to adjust some of the settings (i.e. Baud). You could also adjust the Stepping setting inside the Language tab in Properties. You might be able to find a listing for the preferred settings of your cutter inside your cutter manual, but it's not necessarily info we would be able to provide for you. You might find some success in making adjustments to the Generic driver to help correct the inconsitencies while using your cutter with Vector Cut.
