Default Not to sound like a complete novice...

If you go to this video and go to 3:30 you will see the artist is doing some layered vinyl that gives it a 3d effect.

Here is a pic:
Being completely new, I know that he uses a plotter to cut out the vinyl. But a few questions,

How does he get the vinyl to adhere to the later? Spray adhesive?

Do you have to load a separate vinyl roll for every color? Like how do you do the rainbows?

Any idea how he gets the layered affect?

There was no video attached. Looking at the print it would be far easier to print and cut than to do with layered vinyl. when yoy do layered vinyl you layout each color with registration marks then cut each separately and place them together based on reg marks. as far as sticking to each other vinyl comes with adhesive backing.
