Hi all,
I thought I posted this yesterday but I think I just wrote it and got sidetracked. Happens all the time.

Anyway, I just set up my GX-24 yesterday and I was able to cut one text decal fine, but then I tried again a couple times, and it would just cut the same area over and over, shredding the sign vinyl until it was a little hole.

I was printing from illustrator with a plug-in.

I'm going to play with it more today, but I wanted to see if you guys had any ideas?

Anyone know a good reference specifically for using illustrator with the GX-24?

Did you change the origin point after you cut the first decal?

If you don't change the origin, the cutter will keep starting from the same place each time.

No, it was cutting a lot but over and over in the same place. What should have been like a 4"x5" design, it was just cutting in less than one square inch.
I don't know what the deal was, but I think I have it figured out now. I successfully cut my second piece of vinyl! Very exciting.

What do you guys think of Macal 8300 pro sign vinyl? I got a roll with my used roland, and I don't like it so far. Doesn't stick that well when I try to apply it.
