Exclamation Roland gx-24 Suggestions

Peace
i'm thinking about buying the Roland gx-24 and I would like to know any pro's and cons on this cutter. At this moment I have a 34" Seiki 870T Cutter with Flexi 8. I need honest and open suggestions. Peace

What's the reason your trying to get a Roland? Did the Seikitech mess up on you?

As far as your question about the roland.. I seen them in action and are real good machines, as you can see many people here on the forum highly recomend them based on there expertise.

Goodluck on your decision.

got the roland too and love it.

have you tried fixing the seiki? it might just be the blade or the downforce setting. sorry don't know much about the machine but a 34" cut is sweet, and i'd think about someone takin a look at it before ploppin down another $1500. good luck with whatever you decide. -peace.

Thanks and I will definitely consider taking your advice. It's just that the Seiki was cheap and I'm getting what I paid for. Peace

Weird, because when i had my seiki i never ran into this problem. Could be the cutting software or design. I used signcut x2 and didn't have this issue. I also know of a couple shops that have these cutters.

I just got a GX-24, set it up yesterday and have cut four little practice jobs for myself. I figured it out pretty quickly. Vinyl is very straight forward compared to screen printing!

So far, it's great. It cuts quickly and quietly. I'm very excited to have it. The manual is lacking, but there seems to be a lot of support for it since it's a popular unit, including much discussion here on these forums.

I'd say fix and keep your current cutter for big jobs and maybe get a GX-24 for smaller cutting, if speed is really an issue?
