hello amigos. i need info on how to make a banner using vinyl letters. i have no idea where to start. the banner will be used by a youth soccer team..so it needs to hold up to sun and wind. i have a vinyl cutter and a small heat press (11x15).
what type of vinyl should i use? what kind of banner material works best with vinyl? could i use the same kind of vinyl that is used for automobile window decals? any info is greatly appreciated. thanks.
Miguel

Check out the vinyl cutter section here on TSF. Very helpful information as most of your questions have been answered. Also take a look at youtube they have a ton of videos you can watch to see how it's done.
You can buy banner blanks online, and use your vinyl cutter to cut sign vinyl (such as Oracal 651). Stick the sign vinyl to the banner blank and you've got yourself a nice 3-5 year semi-regular use banner
Depending on how big the banner will be. You will need a long table, stretch the banner flat and just use sign vinyl (no need for a heat press). one thing to remember is, roll the banner loosely it with the vinyl on the outside so as not the crease it.
Have you considered having it printed instead ?
@ino-i did price a few places for printing..but its out of their price range. besides the design is a simple one color image so it shouldnt be to hard for me to do it with vinyl.
