I would like to change both the image and cut lines at the same time in Cut Studio. I want to create a variety of sizes of some of my graphics but I do not want to spend the time editing the cut lines for each new size. Can I change both at the same time so that they match in the revised size?
If you want multiple sizes of the same image (I think that's what you're asking), get the image outline of the large version, then copy/paste and resize the pasted image outline to your desired size. This will give you a new cut line of the same image, at a new size.
That method would leave room for error in keeping the same height/width ration wouldn't it? When you click on the Properties of either the image or cut line you can keep the ratio of the original and change size appropriately. If I just cut & paste then change manually there is no way to guarantee I'm keep the same ratio is there? I also need both the cut lines and image as I am printing on transfer paper. No problem with my vinyl as nothing but the cut lines require the size change...
I thought I had indeed changed the size of both at one time by mistake early on but can not seem to replicate if I indeed did so...
If you click the checkbox below the measurements when changing size, it will maintain the height/width ratio, even if you only change one measurement. This is true on both the image and the cut line.
That still does not accomplish my task. I want to change both at the same time. Since the image and cut line will not be the same exact size there is no way to change one and then know exactly what to change the other to even though you can keep the ratio...
I'm looking to change both at the same time keeping the ratio for both...

smoof,
Once you create your cut lines in CutStudio, select both the image and the cut lines together and copy-paste (you can either sweep-select the entire graphic, or hold select while clicking on the bitmap and cutting lines) , then right-click and go to properties. Change the size here and you'll have a smaller version with the cut lines intact.
Thank you very much for the information. Just one last question...
What is a "sweep-select" and or the "select" button???
I'm guessing it's fairly obvious but, I'm not finding it by trial and error.
Regards,
Rob

sweep-select is a graphics term for clicking and dragging a box around something. When you first open cutstudio, you are already in the "Select" tool which is the arrow in the upper left corner of the toolbar on the left side of the screen. By clicking on the left mouse button, you are "selecting" something. So holding the shift key while "selecting" each element of the graphic is the same as sweeping the entire graphic, which would select everything inside it. It's the same process as drawing a box, only with the select tool, you're not drawing anything.
Thank you for the speedy reply and instructional for beginners
