Ok so i've been making shirts for over a year now, i use a company called xpres,
i started by usig their superflex & easy flex materials and i ran into a few problems with designs creasing alot and coming off around the edges,
i left that alone and used flock instead as i never had this problem with flock,
i've still got alot of superflex left here, i thought i'd make a shirt with it so i made one, The design looks great but their is bits and bobs coming up in small corners, does anybody know how i can get a beter press with this stuff, here is a link to the material details
if anybody has any ideas, please let me know as the designs with this stuff can be very detail'd , i just need it to bloody stay on haha, cant sell it like this
It depends on the brand of the press if offers even pressure. That might be the problem. If not the temperature might be low as well.
There is a company in UK that offers a product called CAD-CUTŪ Premium that is very good.
Call the guys from Target Transfers.
Good Luck,
Ariel

Thank you very much for your reply, i order from target alot, i use thre flock mainly but have tried there premium stuff, its most impressive, but i have alot of stock here that i need to use so i'm trying to figure out how i can get good results with it, also my press is 2 years old and is in bad shape, so i nee to shift this material so i can purchase a new one
Sorry its took me a while to reply, i've been alittle busy, i purchased and tried the CAD-CUTŪ Premium , only my designs usally have areas that have alot of material to cover the shirt, its not a fine design, so if i have a design that has alot of bulk in one area white the material doesnt feel very good, but if the design is light and doesnt use a big area of material its fine, any idea what i can use for my designs that use alot of material?
When you talk about these designs. What is the approximately area that you are talking?(it is like a number on futbol garment).
How many colors do you normally have on a design?

Usally one colout, and the designs vary but some can use 15cm squared of material, i dont think there is a solution as when i use flock its great but attracts lots of dirt
Normally this material is used for Futbol garments because is thin 95 Microns. Something thiner will be Nylon Flex I believe Target has it 75microns. Give them a call and ask them the thickness just in case. This material is more difficult to cut and weed. If not a way to avoid that thickness is buy cutting the desing in the interior. Example if you have a square without losing the square efect you can creat some internal cuts and the feeling will change.
Thanks for your reply agasin its appreciated, sadly target said that sthe thinest material they use, i dont think its about being thin, see the flock is thick and thats finre, its jst when i use big area of material it seems like plasticy/paper that creases and makes alot of noise, shame really
How long/hard are you pressing? Try pressing then remove backing, cover and press again, it's ideal to pre-press as well if you can. Press harder, I always use Xpres vinyl and never had this problem. I always press so you can see the texture of the shirt through the vinyl.
The thing with targets vinyl is it's more expensive and no better in my opinion.

trying to help, sometimes i don't!
With super flex i'm pre-pressing the garmet for 5 seconds at 175'c then pressing the design for 10-15 seconds, then when teh backing is off i'm pressing again for 10 seconds
with target i'm doing the same but presisng for 160 for 20 seconds
I might just need a better press, my pressure isnt the best, but i dont see how not having high enough pressure would make the premium cad from target seem thick like paper, i must say from the two companys i am impressed with targets materials, especially with the pressure sticky backing, it really helps with fine detailed logos, i've not had any problems with text and smaller designs, its only when i have to use big sections of material taht i've found this problem
