We just purchased a used GX24 cutter and it came with a bunch of rolls of vinyl. The problem I have with this is, I don't know what all this stuff is used for. The guy we purchased it from did shirts and signs. Is there a way to tell which vinyl is what, and how to apply them? Thanks!
What kind of vinyl is it that you received? Brand.
Also, most sign vinyl will use an adhesive backing (like a sticker) where as vinyl for a shirt will be heat sealed, therefore the backing will not be an adhesive. Typically with vinyl, there is a matte finsh side, and a shiny side - 99% of the time, these are for shirt / garment printing.
That made it easy, I can tell what is sign and what is for shirts now. Some has paper backing which I am figuring is for the signs, and the solid color for shirts. Thank you!!! None of the sign vinyl have names on them, but the shirt vinyl, most are Spectra Cut II and there is an Ecofilm. The others don't have names. Thanks!!!

Do you know the temp, pressure and time for attaching it? Thanks!
Also, there is a matt side and a shiny side, which side to I cut on. I print mirrored correct?
Yes, print mirrored, that will get you every time!!
Again, depending on the vinyl, you should be cutting on the shiny side for the most part, but your vinyl roll shoule be set up correctly to just roll out and you will be able to cut. There "should" be a protective film that is on there (which your image stays onto) you do not cut through that - so it would be the opposite side of the vinyl that you are cutting on. After writing all of that, I am not sure if that will make sense ... sorry!!!

You can find the instructions for the Spectra materials (including eco film) on the imprintables.com website under product support, here is a direct link...
Great information. I was on their site earlier and didn't see these pages. I have printed out the couple that I know I have. That will help immensely. Thanks!
