New Here... excited to get started... want to do it right the 1st time. I'm new here. My head is filled with all kinds of ideas, designs, where to market, and I'm really excited.
I've been thinking about starting off small, getting something like a Craft Robo Pro to connect to my laptop (a MacBook on which I can run OS X or Windows), and making small graphic designs for use as heat transfers and stickers.
Then I'm thinking... why limit myself, size-wise. So I started looking at the Roland GX-24. I know it's got competitors, but I actually have other Roland-made items I've been really happy with, to the point where after using them their competitors look kinda crummy in comparison (Roland electronic drums, Roland amplifiers, Roland keyboards, even a Roland pc audio card that was the best midi card of its day). So why break a streak of satisfaction.
Like how I talked myself into the Roland?
I've looked around online, and found various prices, the lowest of which was $1549. I'd like to buy locally and carry it home. The local supplier is asking $1649. Maybe I can get him to throw in various vinyls at that price and call it even? I will probably need to go to him again for supplies (he's a sign shop supplier, so not sure if he's got heat transfer stuff for the clothing ideas I have).
I've got a full time job, not a whole lot of money, but these ideas are all distracting to me and I just wanna do it already. I need my creative outlet, not to mention some extra money.
I've got Adobe software on my iMac, that'll work, right?
AAAAAHHHHH! I'm so looking forward to getting this thing off the ground... So much to do!!
