Re: Can you print magnetic material on a Roland 300?
They urge you not too, but you can. You have to be really careful not to try and load too much at once and you have to babysit it. Do not use heat-material wil buckle and cause head strikes.

What exactly do you mean I have to be careful and not load too much at once? Do you mean not to print several images at once? As far as not using heat, won't the image smudge or smear because it doesn't have that heating element?

The material weighs too much if you load alot on the machine...the rollers cant pull the weight and it will slip....causing UGLY results.....as for "drying" just lay them out on a table...the heater doesnt cure the ink...it just warms it so the eco-solvents release faster....mine are usually dry by the time they make the floor....good luck

Re: Can you print magnetic material on a Roland 300?
Actually with the 300 models they do not have an adjustable head height. The 540 models have that and can adjust for the thickness of the magnetic material. If you print directly onto the material with a 300 model it will look fuzzy and not very good at all. The way to do magnetic material with a 300 model is to print onto vinyl and adhere the vinyl to the magnetic material after that. I think that Ronnie and Ridgely have 540 models if I am not mistaken.

Re: Can you print magnetic material on a Roland 300?
I never bother printing directly on Magnetic... I print on vinyl and put on magnetic because you get better results... You "can" print on it but using heavy stuff might kill motor, thin stuff will be just fine and there is a company out there that makes magnetic material which is made to be printed on
