Default Inkscape capabilities

Can anybody tell me the capabilities of inkscape from a vinyl cutting point of view? What can I do with images? Can I vectorize them or make the easier to cut with this program?

Yes, Inkscape is used to Vectorize. Convert your file to EPS.

I have added some plug-ins (0.46) but, I can save as EPS files.
Scribus is a good program for converting file formats and more too.
