Hey everyone. I apologize if this problem has been covered before but I couldn't find anything.
I have had my GX-24 for about 6 months now. It cut beautifully for the first couple of months. I would cut vinyl at 70gf and everything weeded perfectly. Then I had 2 incidents when the vinyl slipped off of the rollers and cut into the strip below a bit before I caught in and stopped it. After this it seemed like the lines cut were not complete and I had many problems weeding.
So, I figured the blade had gotten damaged so I replaced the blade. The problem remains. When I look at the backing paper after weeding the score lines left behind almost look like the blade is skipping. The line looks dashed slightly. It looks like this over all of the cut areas, not only where the cutting strip was sligthly damaged.
Any idea what is wrong here? Nothing I do seems to change anything. I've changed the blade depth and increased cutting force up to as much as 110gf with not much improvement. I really need to get my GX-24 up and running proerly again. Any help is greatly appreciated.
So I tried increasing the cutting force to 120gf and it did greatly improve the weeding. (I don't have any silicone spray right now to try that but I will get some.) Still, I get a dashed-looking line on the backing paper from where the cut was made. I don't remember it looking like that before.
Any tips as to where I can purchase a new cutting strip? I don't suppose I can reuse this one by flipping it over, can I?

Thank you both for your help.
