Default Roland GX 24 help needed

I've had my cutter for several months now. I have not turned it on for probably 2 months but all was working fine before. Now, tonight I try to use it and it doesn't seem to be communicating with my computer. Every time I try to sent to print it comes back with error message that it failed to print. I can do the self test and test cut on the printer so I know it's not the cutter but something between my cutstudio talking with the cutter. Anyone have any suggestions on what my problem may be?? I wish I was more computer savvy sometimes! Thanks in advance for any help. I'm trying out the new Phototex wall printable/removeable fabric and got the print done just can't cut it.

Heidi, Make sure you are using the correct port. (USb1, USB2 etc) Make sure the correct cutter is selected. Most of these settings are in setup. Check the USB cable is in all the way.

Trust me I checked my connection and I haven't changed anything having to do with the cutter. Well, I guess something must be changed as it's not talking with the computer anymore but how do I figure this out? I use a serial connection and it's connected tight. Any other thoughts?

Sometimes other programs will change settings. Double check the settings making sure the Gx is printer/cutter selected. Have you tried rebooting the computer, this has worked for me in the past.

Ok, here's what i just did. I uninstalled my zonealarm firewall and rebooted my system. I ran regcure and fixed all issues. Still no go. What do you mean when you say about checking settings? I used my cut studio software with the roland gx selected as my cutter/printer so I guess I don't know where else i have to check. Any other suggestions?
