I have used Thermoflex Plus now for about a year and a half. I needed a yellow color and ordered it from a company I had not used before.
Here's my problem-always befor if I ordered a color it would be on a spool rolled up so I can see the color. I would always cut it in mirror with the color up on the printer. This yellow come in and it is spooled backwards and I have to cut it in mirroe from the back side. Seems as though the plastic cover is on the color side and to cut it you have to cut on the white side or what I would call the back side.
The back side will still go agianst the shirt but this is strange to me.
Did I get Themoflex Plus or something else.
Thanks in advance
Dad
Ps there is a little sticker inside tube that has speciality materials on it with PLs-9450--a product of Poli-tape.

Help please - I don't like this stuff
Check with the company you ordered from. If the side with the masking is the color you want and the back side is white and that is the side you cut and press on to the shirt then it should be OK. The color side is face up. Of course you always mirror your cut with apparel vinyl. But you knew that. Lou
You got Thermoflex Plus, it's just that their yellow along with certain other colors has a white backing so there is no bleedthrough. You cut it the same way you do any other Thermoflex product.

David, so all "Plus" themoflex has a white background?. Lou
I did a search on poli tape and I don't believe it is thermoflex plus. This was on the wood spool backwards. Do they roll the yellow thermo flex backwards on the rolll?? I have to cut the white side and weed from the white side.
I am going to try and contact the company tommorrow.
Is the plastic cover of yellow on the color side or on the white side.
This ones on the color side. All others I have bought is on the back side. This is just strange to me.
Dad every heatpress vinyl roll is rolled backwards compared to sign vinyl. You always cut the vinyl side not the clear plastic (mylar) side. You should be cutting the white side, it's the same as if you're cutting say black, you're still cutting the side that goes against the grament. You cut it in reverse, weed it, flip it over with mylar backing facing up, press and pull the mylar off.
Also I read somewhere that poli tape is the same as thermoflex it's just another name they use in different countries. I don't know that for a fact, but I read it somewhere, it may have been on this forum.
You might also want to check if it is the type that has a extra film on the vinly side, that you have to peel off. I have some of this and when I unroll it, it wants to go the opposite direction until you peel the extra layer off, then it will feed and cut just like any other vinyl, cutting on the adhesive side up. I do believe it is the thermoflex plus that has this.

Thermoflex Plus does NOT have this, it's specialty vinyl that has this, such as glitter, reflective, and I'm not 100% postitive but I "think" Thermoflex Extra. Regular Thermoflex Plus does not have the extra film on it.
