Default Vinyl For Nylon Jackets???

I am looking for a quality alternative to screen printing the backs of nylon jackets. I have tried Spectra cut plus, and Spectra Eco Plus and they look great! but, once the garment is washed they fall off (cold wash, hang dry)
Has anyone else had similar problems?
I feel that jackets need to be washed every now and then and selling this to customers would be wrong.
I have an brand new press and follow the instructions.
If anyone else is buying these materials and having similer trouble please let me know.
thanks

This problem usually happens when the garment has been treated

I have been trying cheap zip up nylon jackets. I assume they have some type of treatment but they are not special as far as water replant or anything like that.
If it was a tote bag or umbrella this would be fine, but the vinyl will not stand up to the wash.

Siser's EasyWeed Extra (formerly VideoFlex Extra) is made to work on Nylon.

Also, Siser's ReflectAll product works on Nylon if you need to do reflective wear.

Ive done a couple nylon jackets for myself and my husband with the spectra cut stuff, and its been fine thru all washings! These are jackets ordered from gauss sales which caters to our industry.

Ive used the eco plus as well, and havent had any issues with it at all.

I would suggest you check your settings, make sure your heat and press time is right.

Hey thanks for the reply, I have followed the recommended settings from Imprintables Warehouse, on the info sheet they supplied with the product. My press is a 6 month old Phoinex Phire, sold by Imprintables also.
What settings and dwell time are using?

Thanks

How do you know if the jacket/garment has been treated?

What ever instructions that came with the vinyl...thats what I did. I also always give it another shot of heat (with a teflon sheet) after Ive taken the backing off.

Like the others have metioned, your practise jackets my have some sort of coating on them.

I always give it another shot with a Teflon sheet too, but come to think of it I did not try it with the eco-plus, I'll try it thanks
