I Have an older Roland 45" Vinyl Cutter and it has a serial port instead of a USB port. Do the new ones have a USB port or Serial Port?
I bought it real cheep from a friend and it has never been used. Does anybody know how this one that I have works on a Serial Port?

The new ones like the GX24 have a USB port. Not able to help on serial connector but wonder is this not covered in user manual or did you not get the manual with the system? If no manual possibly can get one from Roalnd web site. Hopefully someone else can assist you with the serial connection.

don't know if it will work for you this instance but a lot of the uscutter machines have serial and use a usb to serial cable from radio shack or somewhere. they say to not go cheap with this ccable cause the cheap ones that come with the cutters aren't very good
