Default Holding vinyl to the Tshirt?

hi guys

I have recently changed my vinyl to a better type, but it does not have a sticky backing to hold it to the T while pressing and keep aligned.

Now I have tried some green tape I had left from my mug pressing days but it burnt to the fabric?

What do you guys use?

cheers
dan

I use vinyl with sticky backing. Multicut from www.jotopaper.com but you can purchase magic tape which is heat resistant tape to hold it.

We use heat tape from Best Blanks, works great, leaves nothing behind.

Dan, I read you changed vinyl to a better type(what were you using ? and what do you use now ?). I read you like the vinyl better, but it's not working the same. I suggest you use thermal heat tape, I have heard using cloth medical tape will work great. I have not used the medical tape myself, but others have said "it works great". ..... JB

was using Mulberry Design + Print | Sign Vinyl - Application Tape - Sign Making Accessories

but did not seem to bond to the tshirt too well so got some of this, which is a lot better, but has no tacky backing

STANDARD Textile Vinyl - Standard Textile Vinyl

Dan I use Hotmark 70, I know in the U. K. it's called first mark. This stuff works great and will stick to any garment I have ever tried it on. It also is very stretchable when needed( I have a customer that wears a XL compression shirt and really needs a 2XL. The vinyl and the shirt stretch to accommodate his girth.). I hope this helps ..... JB
