I can still see the paper where the cutter did not cut close enough. I was cutting letters with a roland gx24 and inkjet opaque from coastal. I tried to use the offset to correct this, vut the lines end up to far into the picture(00.1 offset). Should the cutter be more precise or do I have to do something else?

The GX24 has the optical sensor to detect crop marks if you print them on the material and automagically compensate for any skew or misalignment. What program are you using to do the print/cut?

I'm using corel x3. It seems like I read somewhere that I may have to do them manually.

It depends on your cutter, if you're using a GX24 you should be able to add manual registration marks (i think the roland uses large black circles) check the manual.

Try using the software that came with the roland for print and cut, it works great.

I 'm making my designs in corel x3 and then importing them into cut studio for cutting. Is there a permenant offset button to correct something like this? When I zoom into the design, the cut lines are slightly off in some places. Is this normal or do I have to do smothing else?

I will give it a shot and see how it works for me, I normally cut letters with thermoflex
