Default Adding stroke to fonts on vinyl cutter.

I am not sure if this is the right area to post this question, but here goes?

I have a vinyl cutter, Mimaki CG-60ST. I have the ability to cut straight out of Corel Draw but just choosing the vinyl cutter as a "printer". Sometimes I have font and want to add some stroke to it (boldness). Here is my problem. If I just add stroke, the vinyl cutter wants to cut the "original" shape of the letter and then cut the added stroke (double cuts). So I thought adding "contour" would help. It still does the same thing. I tried "converting the text to curves", still the same thing. What is the solution?

Default Re: Adding stroke to fonts on vinyl cutter.

The problem is that the letter and the stroke are 2 different objects and will cut seperate. I don't cut from Corel so I haven't ever tried it but you might try welding the two before sending it to the printer. In Flexisign I have done outlines of the same color and welded them together to add thickness so that may work as well.

Thanks Terry, I am not around my cutter now, but just looking at "Welding" in Corel it looks like what I must do.

Thanks again.
