Default USCutter MH-series or Graphtec Craft ROBO?

Between these two machines, which is better? On a budget, but the difference is so minimal that I just want to go with the better machine.

Shawna, Graphtecs are supposedly built better, but I'd still get a 24" machine.

Thanks for the post -- I do agree, a lot more can go on with a 24", but I'm making baby tees, so it's not as if I NEED the bigger machine. I just want something user friendly, as it's my first one! Inclined to go with the 24" though.

Start a poll and ask people what they think is better to own and I'd say 90% are going to say get the 24" because you'll need it eventually.

BTW, are you doing heatpress vinyl on those?

On a side note, does anyone know that the customer support is like for US Cutter? What if I do something really stupid like can't weed in the vinyl or something...will they walk you through the simplest things?

Are all machines essentially the same? Or are some more user-friendly than others?

Sorry for the dumb questions, just really new at this!

Yes - doing heatpress vinyl. Any reason you ask?

I wanted to be sure you wasn't wanting to contour cut printed transfers as the mh series refines don't have an optical eye, I don't know about the graphtec robo series. That's why I was wondering.

As for US Cutter's support, you won't find a better forum full of support anywhere, I promise you that. I should know, I practically live there.

here is another (hopefully not too) dumb question for the forum - does a cutter help with something like the standard transfer you would print out on your inkjet printer or is a cutter really only for vinyl?

A cutter with an optical eye that you contour cut it helps.

A little confused on the "contour cut" -- when do you need it? Will I need it for printing text on vinyl?
